Importing a model (Model Explorer)
You can import a model through Model Explorer and Modeler.
When you import an exported model, the Open dialog allows you to select the exported model, which is a zip file or an inf file.
|
• You cannot import models that are exported from a previous version of Integrity Modeler (for example, 8.x to 9.0).
• Model Explorer exports a model as a zip file, but that zip file can optionally be unzipped and imported through the inf file.
• If you are importing a model through a network, you should first copy the import files to your computer before running the import procedure.
• You can import a new model only if you have Write access permissions to the database.
• You can update a model through an import only if you have Owner access permissions to the model and its Packages.
• The access permissions of the new model are set to that of the owning Database, assuming some have been set for the Database. If no access permissions have been set up for the Database, the user that imports the model is granted Owner access permissions to the model and all Packages, and the Public Write check box is selected for the model.
