To Resize an Object
You can resize an already inserted object in one of three possible places:
• Your worksheet’s main area.
• Your worksheet’s Header or Footer.
• The object’s parent application.
Resizing Objects in Worksheet
1. Select an object that you want to resize.
2. Select one of the object’s two handles and drag to enlarge or reduce the size of the object.
Since Preserve Aspect Ratio is enabled by default, the resizing preserves the object’s aspect ratio.
3. To disable the preserving of aspect ratio, on the
Input/Output tab, in the
Objects group, click
Preserve Aspect Ratio. This adds a third handle that you can use to freely resize the object.
4. To reset the object’s size, on the
Input/Output tab, in the
Objects group, click
Reset Object Size. The resized object takes the size of the content in the parent application.
Resizing Objects in Header or Footer
1. Select an object that you want to resize.
Due to the relatively small size of the header footer regions, the size of the object is restricted.
2. Select one of the object’s two handles and drag to enlarge or reduce the size of the object.
Since Preserve Aspect Ratio is enabled by default, the resizing preserves the object’s aspect ratio.
3. To disable the preserving of aspect ratio, on the
Input/Output tab, in the
Objects group, click
Preserve Aspect Ratio. This adds a third handle that you can use to freely resize the object.
4. To reset the object’s size, on the
Input/Output tab, in the
Objects group, click
Reset Object Size. The size of the object is restricted due to the small size of Header/Footer.
Resizing Objects in their Parent Application
1. Activate an object to open in its parent application.
2. Resize the object in its parent application:
◦ If Preserve Aspect Ratio is enabled: The object size is changed accordingly in your worksheet.
◦ If Preserve Aspect Ratio is disabled: The object size does not change in your worksheet, but it may appear distorted.
