Agent Installation

Troubleshooting instructions are for both Windows and Linux installations. On Windows, commands must be run inside a Linux virtual machine. Run PowerShell as an administrator, then run the command
Connect-EFlowVM
before executing any of the below commands.

Prerequisite Failures
If the installation fails due to an execution policy, verify PowerShell functions comply (see Microsoft article for details).
If the installation fails with timing errors, verify the time of the agent host to ensure it is correct and that there is minimal delta in system times.
Installing Repeatedly
If the installation is run twice, the prompt to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA) may not display your response correctly.
It is strongly suggested that you UNinstall the agent before attempting to re-install.
Run the installer in a new PowerShell or terminal window. Do not re-use for repeat attempts.
Restarting the Kepware+ Agent
Any time the Kepware+ Agent appears to be offline, you can restart it (on the install system) using the command: sudo iotedge restart PTCEdgeAgent
Restarting the IOT Edge Runtime
If the list command reveals the runtime is not running or if changes have been made, restart it using the command: sudo iotedge system restart
