Arbortext IsoDraw > Data Exchange Reference > Image File Formats > SVG > Preferences for Export

Preferences for Export
Choose Edit > Preferences, then click the SVG symbol. The following preferences panel appears:
You can set the following preferences for export:
File Format
Here you can select whether the file is to be exported uncompressed or compressed.
Raster Images
If the file contains raster images, you should export these with the setting embed. The other option creates a link to the then external raster images. The raster images are saved in JPEG or PNG formats.
Illustration Size
This is where you can select how the SVG file is to be depicted when opened. When scaleable illustration is selected, the depiction of the illustration matches the relevant window size. If the illustration has been exported in a set size, it is depicted in the actual dimensions.
Dimensions
This field allows you to specify the dimensions of the SVG file. This is governed either by the size of the drawing sheet in Arbortext IsoDraw or the actual extent of the elements.
Encoding
The pop-up menu is used to define the type of encoding used for the file. The encoding defines the internal structure of the file. It only affects how the file is stored and not what is stored.
Hotspot grouping
If hotspots have been created in Arbortext IsoDraw as region hotspots, these hotspots can be exported in two ways. When Combine hotspot regions by name is selected, all occurrences of a hotspot with the same name are grouped into a single hotspot region. When Export hotspots regions individually is selected, individual occurrences of the hotspot are generated.
Metadata
This is where you can select whether or not existing metadata (descriptive data on the drawing) is to be exported. If you select export IsoDraw metadata only, only metadata created in Arbortext IsoDraw (e.g. object info, hyperlinks) is exported.
