Creo View Format
Arbortext IsoDraw CADprocess can import several types of Creo View files.
*
Arbortext IsoDraw CADprocess cannot export Creo View files.
Two PTC applications create Creo View files that you can import: Creo View and Creo Illustrate.
Creo View lets you view, manipulate, and annotate product data, such as 3D CAD files, without using the native authoring application. You save Creo View files in Creo View.
Creo Illustrate lets you import 3D CAD files and use them to create 3D technical illustrations. You can publish 3D technical illustrations to Creo View PVZ (*.pvz) files in Creo Illustrate. You can choose to publish 3D PVZ files or 2D-only PVZ files.
The Creo View file types Arbortext IsoDraw CADprocess can import are listed below.
Type
Content
PVS (*.pvs), ED (*.ed), or EDZ (*.edz)
Product part structure and attributes.
OL (*.ol)
3D model
PVZ (*.pvz): 3D
Compressed package with one or more of the file types above.
If you save a PVZ file in Creo View, it contains files for all viewables and annotations in the current session.
If you publish to 3D in Creo Illustrate, the published PVZ file includes the following:
One or more of the file types above (the same as a PVZ file saved in Creo View).
A separate viewable for each 3D figure in the Creo Illustrate c3DI file, including any sequences or animations associated with the figures.
PVZ (*.pvz): 2D-only
Compressed package with one or more 2D figures exported from 3D figures in the published Creo Illustrate c3DI file. The 2D figures are exported in Arbortext IsoDraw, CGM, or SVG format.
