Reading Structures
The Select assemblies option appears in the first import dialog box, as specified in the format preferences panel. If you have selected the Select assemblies option, the Read structures and Selection of Structures dialog boxes appear one after the other. The latter of these dialog boxes enables you to reselect the objects to be loaded each time the 3D file is imported. This is particularly useful when, for example, the imported file is the entire design drawing for a product or contains a large number of parts. The ability to select certain assemblies allows you to load only the section of the drawing that is relevant at any one time. This means that the file is loaded faster, the Arbortext IsoDraw file takes up much less storage space, and there is no need to delete or hide irrelevant assemblies in 3D mode.

This structure selection option is available when working with IGES, VRML, and Wavefront formats.
Drawing Entities and View Entities
You can select the more button in the first import dialog box. Clicking on the button displays the IGES dialog box. When available, the two text fields at the top display the Drawing Entities and View Entities of the drawing. If Drawing Entities are displayed, this means that the entire drawing is made up of more than one drawing. A drawing such as this can contain e.g. the drawing frame or a particular view of the entire drawing. The drawing can then be assigned a certain view. If you know nothing about the content of drawings like these, deselect the indicated Drawing Entities and View Entities. To do this, click on the entry where you can see a tick. If you also click the box next to the Check best 'View' automatically option, all of the information needed for the drawing is loaded.
More information on the import dialog boxes can be found in the Arbortext IsoDraw User's Reference in the Open... section and in the Arbortext IsoDraw Data Exchange Reference in the sections on IGES, VRML and Wavefront formats.
