Update the Source File
You have placed the file place1.idr. The file place2.idr contains the amended drawing. In practice, both files must have the same filename. However, due to the fact that two files with identical filenames cannot be stored in the same folder (but these two files must be stored in the same directory), it will be necessary to change the filename of the updated file place2.idr to place1.idr.
When working outside these exercises, the original source file is simply overwritten with the updated source file.
1. Delete the file place1.idr from the Arbortext-IsoDraw-install-path\Tutorial\Tutorial IsoDraw folder of the installed program folder. Rename the file place2.idr as place1.idr.
The file phantom.idr is opened.
2. Now return to Arbortext IsoDraw.
You will notice that the placed drawing now matches the content of the amended source file. The drawing of the geared motor is now displayed with the amended toothed-belt unit.
The placed file is updated.
