Installing the License Server at a Custom Location
If required, you can install the license server at a custom location, as follows:
1. Copy the Creo Schematics product installation media or the product installation package that you downloaded from the web, to a temporary location (<temp_folder>) on your disk.
2. Edit the <temp_folder>/pim/xml/flexadmin.xml file and modify the INSTALLBASE name attribute of the PROPERTY node to specify the custom installation location for the license server as shown:
<PROPERTY name="[INSTALLBASE]">[PROGRAMFILES]\PTC</PROPERTY>
Modify to:
<PROPERTY name="[INSTALLBASE]">D:\NEWFLEXDIR</PROPERTY>
Where, D:\NEWFLEXDIR is the custom installation location for the license server.
3. Save the <temp_folder>/pim/xml/flexadmin.xml file.
4. Start the Creo Installation Assistant from the locally copied <temp_folder> folder, and install the license server. The license server is installed at the custom location D:\NEWFLEXDIR.
