About This Guide
This design software package encompasses the Creo Schematics application of PTC. This guide describes how to generate and configure licenses, and how to install and maintain Creo Schematics using the PTC Creo Installation Assistant.
System administrators who are installing Creo Schematics for the first time must be experienced in application installations and must have a good understanding of operating systems.
How to Use This Guide
This guide supplements the tooltips in PTC Creo Installation Assistant and provides installation instructions and reference information. To generate or update licenses and then install or reconfigure Creo Schematics, see the following chapters:

• A Help Center with search facility and quick links to helpful information.
• Installation and Administration Guide and other books as PDF files. To view and print the books, you must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.
You can access the Help Center when you click

Documentation Conventions
PTC documentation uses the following conventions:
