Opening a Design with a Central Catalog
When you open a design with a central catalog or create a new design from a template with an external central catalog, the catalog status icon informs you if the external central catalog is loaded or not.
• —The external central catalog is loaded. Right-click to display the following options:
◦ Verify Catalog—Verifies the catalog.
◦ Unlock Catalog—Unlocks the catalog for editing.
• —The external central catalog is loading. You can right-click the icon to cancel catalog loading. When you cancel loading, all information is lost.
• —The external central catalog is not loaded, or there was an error while loading the central catalog. Right-click to display the following option:
Start Loading Catalog—Starts loading the catalog again.
To set the path to the central catalog, click Design > Catalog. The Catalog Options dialog box opens. Set the file path to the central catalog and the temporary submission directory.
While you are loading the central catalog, internal catalog items and used external catalog items are available to use in the Catalog Explorer.
