Using Diagnostic Tools
The Diagnostic Tools utility automatically collects information related to the application and system information and transfers it to PTC. The information transfer is based on the filter settings in the Data Filters tab and the frequency settings in the Preferences tab. For each session, Diagnostic Tools checks for new data before the transfer. The information is automatically encrypted and transferred using the SSL methodology.
As a user of a Creo application, you can open the Diagnostic Tools dialog box to view the pending data to be transferred to PTC on the Pending Data tab. You can click the Send via e-mail button to send the Creo application-related and system information report in ASCII format as an e-mail attachment to a designated PTC Technical Support Engineer and to your e-mail address. Both you and PTC Technical Support can then review the information simultaneously.
Session Log
When a session of an installed Creo application ends, a session log for that application is created. Click the Pending Data or Last Sent tab on the Diagnostic Tools dialog box, and select an application tab to view the session log for that application. A session log is a list of entries that provide information about a specific session.
The session log lists information related to the session ID, start and end time of the session, idle time within that session, exit type, locale, license server used, browser information, Java version, and so on for a session.
