A fixed constraint prevents a selected surface from moving or deforming, that is it removes all degrees of freedom from the surface,
To Define a Fixed Constraint
1. Click
Live Simulation >
Fixed. The
Fixed Constraint dialog box opens.
2. Enter a descriptive name or accept the default name. Click the color swatch adjacent to Name if you want to change the color of the icon, the distribution, or the text of the constraint.
3. Select one or more surface of the model. Your selections appear in the References collector.
4. Click OK to create and save the fixed constraint.
