About Clearance and Creepage Violations
During the Clearance and Creepage Analysis , Creo Parametric calculates the clearance or creepage distance between components or quilts and compares it with the specified threshold value. When the distance between any two components is less than the specified threshold value, the distance is reported as the violation distance or path.
You can perform the analysis for a pair components, quilts, or nets. The following table compares an analysis for a pair of quilts or components with an analysis for pairs of nets:
Analysis for a Pair of Quilts or Components
Analysis for a Pair of Nets
The threshold values are specified on the Clearance and Creepage dialog box.
The report contains a list of violations for a single pair of quilts or components.
The Violation report appears in the Quilt/Component Pair Violations dialog box.
The threshold values are specified in the clearance and creepage file.
The report contains a list of violations for one or more pairs of nets.
The violation report appears in the Net Pair Violations dialog box.
