The stock represents the raw material or workpiece to be machined by the manufacturing operations. Its use is optional in Creo NC. You can manually create the stock (manual workpiece) or allow Creo NC to automatically create it using standard shapes and your choice of dimensions (automatic workpiece). Alternatively, you can assemble the stock using an existing design model. In this case, the stock can have features inherited or merged from the design model.
