System Colors
Creo Parametric provides system colors enabling you to easily identify model geometry, datums, and other important display elements. The following tables list the default system colors and their corresponding RGB (Red Green Blue) values. Note that these default system colors are listed in the System Appearance tab (File > Options > System Appearance).
Sample
Color Name
RGB Values (R,G,B)
Description
Black
34,34,38
Identifies geometry.
Light gray
194,194,204
Identifies hidden lines.
Blue
0,153,204
Identifies sketches.
Dark blue
0,0,240
Identifies curves.
Yellow
240,192,0
Identifies quilts.
Purple
153,51,204
Identifies mill volumes in manufacturing, and mold volumes in molding and casting.
Dark green
0,153,90
Identifies the driving surface of sheet metal parts.
Brown
153,102,51
Identifies datum planes, axes, points, and coordinate systems.
Dark Blue
0,0,240
Identifies text.
Dark red
153,0,0
Identifies (primary) highlighted items.
Gray
125,125,128
Identifies (secondary) highlighted items such as weak dimensions and non-current subsections.
Red
255,0,0
Identifies highlighted edges.
Black
34,34,38
Identifies shaded edges.
The following table lists the default system colors that Creo Parametric reserves for feedback during selection, and during current tool usage:
Sample
Color Name
RGB Values (R,G,B)
Description
Bright green
144,240,0
Identifies the preselected item.
Green
51,204,77
Identifies selected items.
Cyan
46,229,229
Identifies secondary selected items.
Orange
255,149,0
Identifies previewed results of the current activity.
Plum
324,50,100
Identifies secondary previewed results of the current activity.
The following table lists the default system colors that Creo Parametric uses for displaying the geometry area background:
Sample
Color Name
RGB Values (R,G,B)
Description
White
251,251,252
Identifies the background color used in windows that display 2D geometry, and the non-blended background color used in windows that display 3D geometry.

* You must clear the Blended check box in the System Appearance dialog box (Graphics tab) to display this color in windows that display 3D geometry.
