About Creating Board Segments
You can create two types of board segment:
Unattached—An independent segment that does not need another segment to exist. The first unattached segment in a board part is called the first segment. The first segment determines the board thickness. You can also create other unattached segments. The geometry of these unattached segments must be merged to the main segment geometry before the board can be sent for collaboration.
Attached—Depends on at least one other segment.
You can create the following types of unattached segment:
Planar
Extrude
Boundary Blend
Revolve
Sweep
Swept Blend
Blend
Rotational Blend
Offset
Split Area
In addition, you can create these types of attached segment:
Flat
Flange
Twist
