About Working with Drawing Parameters
Using the Tools > Parameters menu you can access drawing parameter functionality for drawings and drawing formats. Drawing parameters work in the same way as do model parameters. A drawing parameter is nongraphical information you can add to a drawing. It is useful for keeping some additional information with a drawing that you may not want to include in a note. You can show the parameter value in a note by including [&parameter] in the note string.
When working with drawing parameters, keep in mind the following:
The system associates parameters only with the object that is current at the time you add the parameter.
You cannot use drawing parameters in relations.
You can designate parameters for Pro/PDM.
Drawing attributes defined in versions of Pro/ENGINEER prior to Release 15.0 convert to drawing parameters automatically. The system converts attribute names that begin with a number, but you cannot use them in notes.
