To Reuse a Project Subassembly
1. Select the subassembly to reuse by following with of the methods listed s below:
Click Framework and then in the Subassemblies group click Reuse. The Reuse Subassembly dialog box opens and the Subassembly to Reuse box is activated. In the model, select the subassembly to reuse, or click to open the Open dialog box and select the subassembly to reuse.
Select a project subassembly in the model that you want to use. Click Framework and then in the Subassemblies group click Reuse or right-click and select Framework > Reuse. The Reuse Subassembly dialog box opens.
2. Under Instance Type, select one of the following options to define how to reuse the project subassembly:
Existing instance —Reassembles the project subassembly at another location.
Copy of an existing instance —Assembles a copy of the project subassembly.
3. Click Next.
If you selected , the Position Subassembly dialog box opens.
If you selected , the Copy Component Definition dialog box opens:
In the Name box, you can change the name of the copied subassembly.
Under Components, you can select a check box under Copy and then change the name for the selected subcomponent.
When you complete making changes, click OK. The Position Subassembly dialog box opens.
4. Position the project subassembly.
5. Click OK to complete the copy.
