FILLET terminate action

FILLET creates, modifies, or removes a 2D fillet.

Options

The following options are available to create, modify, or remove a fillet.

When to use

FILLET performs three major operations. You can:
  1. Create fillets by selecting two edges, and replacing them with a fillet radius.

If the fillet created is not appropriate, you can enter alternative values, and view their results, until you are satisfied.

  2. Modify fillets by selecting one or more fillet radii, and changing their value.
  3. Remove fillets, and restore the original edges or vertices.

Fillets can only be created from the vertices, or pairs of edges selected.

You cannot use the Select Container to select groups of edges and vertices to be operated on simultaneously. However, if you define a selection box, all edges and vertices enclosed will be operated on. You can also create geometry or construction fillets in one sweep, if the edges or vertices in the sweep are similar, that is, all geometry fillets in one sweep, and all construction fillets the next.

If you define a fillet radius impossible for the edges or vertices selected, error markers are displayed to show you the edges or vertices where problems will occur.

Example

The following parameter sequence fillets a group of existing edges in one operation.

FILLET [specify two edges or list of vertices] 5.0
