MILL terminate action

MILL sweeps one or more profiles through one or more parts, removing all of the material in the swept volume.

Options

The following options are available to mill a part:

When to use

The default mill control box is displayed:
Part:           /p1
Workplane:      /w1
Mill:
Distance:
Direction:

[ ] Keep Wp   [ ] Keep Prof

You must supply the information as specified in the syntax diagram.

Rules for use

You can mill a part:

It is not possible to mill a part in a direction that is parallel to the active workplane.

Example

The following example mills a 15mm profile into a workplane. Note that the part must already exist.
  1. Enter MILL to display the default control box.
  2. Specify the part you want to mill, the current part is the default.
  3. Enter a distance of 15.
  4. Specify the milling direction along the +W axis.
  5. Choose whether to keep the workplane after the operation.
  6. Choose whether to keep the profile after the operation.
  7. Enter COMPLETE to terminate the set up operation.
OneSpace Designer mills the part according to your specifications.
