INTERSECT_3D terminate action

INTERSECT_3D performs a boolean intersection of a single body, with one or more other bodies.

Syntax

Options

The following options are available to subtract material.

When to use

The default intersection control box is displayed:
Blanks:              /p1
Tools:
[ ] Keep Tool

Use this action to create a resultant part by intersecting one or more tools with an existing part. The resultant part replaces the existing part in the database.

Example

The following example intersects "/PartB" with the original, blank part, "/PartA".
  1. Enter INTERSECT_3D to display the default control box.
  2. Enter "/PartA" in the Blank field.
  3. Enter "/PartB" in the Tools field.
  4. Choose whether to keep the tool.
  5. Enter COMPLETE to tell OneSpace Designer that you have finished setting up the operation.
  6. OneSpace Designer intersects one part with the other.
