Converting the Locator for the Platform Structure Visualization
In Windchill, to configure and visualize platform structures using dynamic positioning, Windchill uses a coordinate system (CSYS) that is defined in CAD data. The CSYS is referred to as the locator in Windchill. For more information, see Overview of Dynamic Positioning with Options and Variants in the Windchill help center.
In Creo Parametric, you must assign a parameter to CSYS to identify it as the locator. The same parameter should be assigned for all locators. For more information, see To Create a Parameter in the Creo Parametric help center.
In the Creo View Adapter for Creo Parametric, update the recipe option from proe2pv.rcp that is at Parameters – Miscellaneous > Locator Filter to refer to the parameter name and value which are assigned to the locator CSYS. While publishing the representation, the Creo View adapter converts the locator information for these CSYS.
If the conversion of CSYS is unchecked and if the Locator Filter recipe options are set, the Creo View adapter still converts CSYS that have the locator parameter set.
