To Apply a Decal at the sBOM Level
Adding a decal at the sBOM level adds the decal to the structure. The decal will display on all existing and new figures in the illustration.
Applying a Decal
1. Load the parts of the structure.
*
Decals cannot be added to parts while the color coded view is enabled.
2. Click Home > Decals > Add Decal. The Decal Library dialog box opens.
*
If the Decal Library has not been populated the Select Decal dialog box will open to select an image file to use for the decal.
3. Select a decal and click Insert. The Add Decal dialog box opens.
4. Click a point on the face of the part to apply the decal. The decal is shown on the part centered on the selected point.
*
When the decal is not shown on the part you must use a Mapping Shape. For more information, see Using a Mapping Shape.
5. Check the Inherit Part Transparency checkbox for the decal to take the transparency value of the part.
6. Position and scale the decal using either the in-view dragger or the controls in the dialog.
7. Click OK. The decal is applied to the part.
Modifying sBOM Level Decals
Decals applied at the sBOM level can be edited, hidden or deleted in structure edit, at the figure level you can only hide/unhide them. Any changes made in structure edit will affect all figures.
*
sBOM level decals hidden in a figure will remain hidden in that figure, even after changes are made in structure edit.
1. Select a part with a decal in the sBOM
2. Right-click and choose Edit Properties. The Part Properties dialog box opens. Click Appearance. The Part Properties dialog box opens in the Appearance view.
3. Select the decal in the Decals section
4. Right click on the decal. Select Edit, Hide or Delete
