To Update a Standard
When you update a standard, you can then update the existing standard in your local standards list. Once the standard is updated, the system will automatically prompt you to update the standard in any illustration that you open that uses an older version of that standard.
Watch the following video for the steps on updating an existing standard in your local standards list and applying the updated standard to your existing illustration.
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Illustrate Options dialog box opens.
2. Next to Showing, select Illustration.
3. Select the standard that you want to update.
4. Click Update. The Illustrate Standard
dialog opens.
5. In the Illustration Standard dialog navigate to and select the updated version of your standard. Click Open.
*
The update option can only be used to update to a newer version of the same standard. The updated standard uses the same name as the existing standard, but reflects the timestamp of the latest update.
6. Click OK to close the Creo Illustrate Options dialog box.
You will now get prompted to update the standard when opening any illustration that uses an older version of the updated standard.
