About Standards
A standard is a set of default preferences, or design rules that define all of the editing and appearance options for 3D, 2D, and Schematic illustrations. They can be used to apply a shared set of units, pens, line styles, symbols, stamp, insets and recipes.
A full standard is made up of:
Illustration level preferences (Selection method, units, localization settings etc)
Color Palette
Line Styles
Pens
3D and 2D pages
3D Profiles
2D Figure settings
Stamps/Callouts/Insets libraries
Publishing settings
Lighting settings
Symbols/Decals/Textures libraries
Schematics
Profiles/formats/connection styles

Standards are created and managed using the Creo Illustrate Administration Tool, see About the Administration Tool
Upon startup, accept the default standard, or choose a predefined standard from the startup ribbon. Standards are created and managed using the Creo Illustrate Administration Tool. For more information on managing standards, see To Manage Standards.
