About Importing and Exporting CSV Files
Attributes can be imported from a CSV file either to add missing attributes or to edit the values of existing attributes. Existing attributes can also be exported as a CSV file so that you can edit the attributes and then import them back into the illustration.
When importing a CSV file, you can choose to link the information to an illustration, or embed the file. For more information, see

To Import Attributes from a CSV File
To open the Attributes contextual ribbon, click on the Attributes pane in the lower data pane.
1. Click > . The Import Attributes dialog box opens.
2. Specify the following parameters:
◦ Delimiter
◦ CSV File
◦ Header Row
◦ Identifier
◦ Default category
3. If you are importing new attributes only, select the Import new attributes and values only check box.
4. To see a preview of the selected values, select the Preview check box.
5. Click OK. The attributes are imported and applied to the illustration.
To Export Attributes to a CSV File
To open the Attributes contextual ribbon, click on the Attributes pane in the lower data pane.
1. Click > . The Export Attributes dialog box opens.
2. Specify the following parameters for export.
◦ Delimiter
◦ Identifier
3. Select the attributes to include in the export:
◦ All attributes
◦ Overriding attributes only
◦ Selected categories
4. To add attribute categories to the Export list, select one or more categories in the Available list, and then click Add. The selection is added.
5. To remove an attribute category from the Export list, select it and then click Remove.
6. Use the arrows next to the Export list, to reorder the categories.
