To Apply a Decal to a Part
Applying a decal to a part
1. Select a part in the figure.

Alternatively, select the part in the figure after selecting the decal.
2. Click Home > Decals > Add Decal. The Decal Library dialog box opens.

If the Decal Library has not been populated the Select Decal dialog box will open to select an image file to use for the decal.
3. Select a decal and click Insert. The Add Decal dialog box opens.
4. Click a point on the face of the part to apply the decal. The decal is shown on the part centered on the selected point.

When the decal is not shown on the part a Mapping Shape will need to be used. For more information, see Using a Mapping Shape
5. Check the Inherit Part Transparency checkbox for the decal to take the transparency value of the part.
6. Position and scale the decal using either the in-view dragger or the controls in the dialog.
7. Click OK. The decal is applied to the part.
Editing a Decal
Decals that have been applied in the sBOM level can be edited, hidden and deleted.
You can edit the decal from the Part Properties or the Edit Properties dialog.
Editing a decal from the Part Properties dialog:
1. In the figure window, right-click and choose Edit Properties. The Part Properties dialog box opens on the Appearance tab.
2. Select a decal on the selected part and then click Edit. The Edit Decal dialog box opens.
Editing a decal from the Edit Properties dialog:
1. Click Edit Properties in the edit group of the sBOM ribbon. The Part Properties dialog opens.
2. Select the Appearance tab on the left side.
3. Select a decal in the list of decals on the part and click on the Edit button. The Edit Decal dialog opens
Editing a decal from the Home ribbon.
Click Home > Decals > Edit Decal. The Edit Decal dialog opens.
Use the decal button to replace the decal used with another decal.
Edit the transparency setting, scale, position, orientation, mapping shape as required.
Click OK. The changes are applied to the decal.
Hiding a Decal
1. Select a part with a decal.
2. Click Edit Properties in the Edit group of the sBOM ribbon. The Part Properties dialog opens.
Alternatively clickEdit Properties in theRMB menu.
3. Select the Appearance tab on the left.
4. Right click ona decal in the Decals section and select Hide. The decal is hidden.
Deleting a Decal
1. Select a part with a decal.
2. Click Edit Properties in the Edit group of the sBOM ribbon. The Part Properties dialog box opens.
3. Select the Appearance tab on the left.
4. Select a decal in the Decals section and click the Delete button. The decal is deleted.
