To Set Windchill Options
1. Click > . The Creo Illustrate Options dialog box opens.
2. Next to Showing, select Global.
3. On the left, under General, select Windchill. The General-Windchill options open on the right.
4. Select Direct connection to connect to Windchill.
5. To add a server for a direct connection, perform these steps:
a. Click Add. The Add Server dialog box opens.
b. Type a name and add a URL for the server.
c. Click OK, the server is added to the list.
6. To edit a server in the list, perform these steps:
a. Select the server and then click Edit. The Add Server dialog box opens.
b. Edit the Name or URL for the server, and then click OK.
7. To delete a server from the list, select the server and then click Delete. The server is deleted.
8. To set how to open a c3i on the server, select an option:
◦ Always try to check out.
◦ Always open as read only.
◦ Always ask.
9. Click Apply to apply the options and keep the dialog box open, or click OK to apply the options and close the dialog box.

You cannot save changes that you make to a read only file. Use Save As to create a new file.
