About Selection Sets
Selection Sets are saved selections of items, including parts and annotations, with user-defined names. They are listed in the Selection Sets pane of the upper data panel.
Saved Selection Sets make it easy to re-select multiple items. This is useful when animating multiple parts from different assemblies.
In the upper data panel, selecting a Selection Set selects all items in that set. This saves time compared to manually selecting each item that you want to manipulate together. Selecting an item from a Selection Set Contents list applies a secondary highlight to that item in the view.
Each figure can have completely independent Selection Sets. You can also copy or paste Selection Sets between figures. You can add items to existing sets, remove items from sets, and move items between sets.

Selection Sets are an authoring aid only, and are not included in the published figure.
To Create a Selection Set
1. Select multiple items in the figure, or sBOM, right click and select Create Selection Set. The New Selection Set dialog box opens.
2. Enter a name for the Selection Set, then click OK. The new set is created and appears in the Selection Sets pane. The selected items appear in the Selection Sets Contents list.
Alternatively, you can create an empty Selection Set and populate it by adding, moving, or copying items into the set.
