To Customize Tabs
Right-click on the ribbon and choose Customize the Ribbon from the shortcut menu, or click File > Options > Customize Ribbon. Follow the procedures below to add, remove, and move tabs.
To Add a Tab
1. Click All Commands or Custom Commands in the Category list. The available commands display.
2. Click Main Tab in the Customize the Ribbon list. The main tabs display.
3. Right-click in the tabs tree and choose Add New Tab or click the New Tab button below the tabs window. A new tab is added to the list of tabs.
4. To rename the tab, use the right-click shortcut menu or click Rename below the tabs window.
To Remove a Tab
1. Clear the check box next to a tab name. The tab is removed from the ribbon.
2. Click the check box to return the tab to the ribbon.
3. To delete a custom tab, select the tab, right-click, and choose Remove. The tab is deleted.

You cannot delete a default tab. You can only remove the default tab from the ribbon.
To Move a Tab in the Ribbon
Select the tab in the Main Tab tree and drag it to a new location or use the arrow buttons on the right.
