About Terminator Tables in Diagrams
Use the term_name parameter for each pin of a connector to show contact, crimp, or other terminator style information. In a large design, instead of attaching the term_name parameter manually to each pin, you can create a terminator table to automatically assign specific terminator parameter values to specific groups of pins. The terminator table columns define connector and spool parameters.
A terminator table defines the criteria that must be met for a terminator value to be matched to a particular pin. The first column is dedicated by default to the term_name value, which is the terminator name you want to associate with connections that match criteria listed in the columns to the right. You enter the criteria in the Terminator Table dialog box, then execute the table. The assigned values are placed on pins throughout the design, assigned to the parameter term_name.
Typically, you use the terminator table to assign values based on the diameter of the wire and the connector model name. In cases where multiple wires terminate on the same pin you can assign a terminator based on the minimum or maximum sum of the cross section of the multiple wires. When you execute the table the connector terminator statement is updated. Terminators that you manually assigned are overridden by settings in a terminator table unless specified otherwise.

* The pin parameter term_auto_assign (True or False) determines whether the pin's term_name value can be automatically changed. Before you execute a terminator table, you should know whether all of the terminators you want to edit are eligible for edit, or whether all or some are protected by this parameter set to False. If the value has never been set, (the value is nonexistent in the Electrical Parameters dialog box) the terminator is eligible for update. You can add to or modify the default criteria to include any connector, connector pin, spool, or spool conductor parameter. You can use the Insert or Edit menus to add or delete additional columns as needed.
Terminator information that you create in a diagram can be referenced logically by a cabling assembly. The opposite is also true. You can save a terminator table to a file and read it in from either the Cabling or the Diagram module.
