Creating Ordinate Driven Dimensions
When you create ordinate driven dimensions, you must convert a standard dimension into an ordinate dimension to create a baseline in the required direction. You can then use the baseline reference to create the ordinate dimensions.
When you create ordinate driven dimensions, keep in mind the following:
You cannot create ordinate dimensions from a baseline dimension when the create_drawing_dims_only configuration option is set to yes and a dimension with a d or ad type symbol denoting a driving model dimension or an associative draft dimension is the active ordinate baseline.
Set the Detail option orddim_text_orientation to parallel or horizontal to control the orientation of the ordinate dimension text, .
If you set the Detail option ord_dim_standard, you can connect ordinate dimensions measured from one baseline with a line. When extension lines are interconnected, all the related dimensions move when you move a single dimension.
You cannot switch ordinate driven dimensions to another view.
