To Set Design Exploration Environment Options
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens.
2. Click Environment. The Environment page opens.
3. To change the default settings, modify the following options in the Design Exploration settings area:
Set the default Checkpoint Tree display (des_exp_display_type)—Sets the default Checkpoint Tree display as Tree or Timeline.
Store the Exploration session files in the following folder (des_exp_data_path)—Specifies the directory for storing the Design Exploration files. Browse to a directory or type the full path to change the directory.
Open the Checkpoint Properties dialog box when a checkpoint is added or converted (des_exp_show_cp_props_dialog)—Opens the Checkpoint Properties dialog box when you add a checkpoint.
Back up models in session when starting and during Design Exploration session (des_exp_create_backups)—Backs up all models in session when you start a Design Exploration session and models opened during the session.
When a ‘Save’ command is used, do not show a confirmation message before adding a new checkpoint (des_exp_confirm_on_save)—Displays or does not display a confirmation message when you use a Save command. A new checkpoint is added.
Create automatic checkpoints on specific system events (des_exp_create_auto_cps)—Automatically creates a checkpoint after system events, such as regeneration.
Maximum number of sequential automatic checkpoints—Sets the maximum number of automatically created checkpoints allowed. The default is 5. Use the arrows or type an integer from 1 to 99 to change the default. Additional automatically created checkpoints override existing automatic checkpoints.
