To Import a JT File
1. Click File > Open. The File Open dialog box appears.
2. Select JT (*.jt) from the Type box. The JT files in the working directory are listed.
3. Select the JT file you want to import or browse. The Import New Model dialog box opens.
4. Under Type, select Part or Assembly.
5. Continue the import with the profile in use or select a profile from the Profile list. To customize the import profile settings, click Details to open the import profile editor, JT — Import Profile.
6. Set Import type as follows:
Facet to import facet data.
Geometry to import exact geometry or the brep representations and import annotations as semantic representations. Import type is set to Automatic by default and annotations are imported as graphical representations by default.
7. Click OK in the Import New Model dialog box. The import log file is automatically generated in the working directory.
