About the Structure of the Import Log File
The contents of the import log files displayed in the Creo browser window are structured in a tabular format and organized in sections. The various sections of the import log files are as follows:
General Information—Includes information such as the interface type and the name of the file and model selected for import.
Geometry Reading—Lists the various types of curves, surfaces, splines, lines, points, faces, edges, and shells, read during the import.
Entity Statistics—Lists the entities of the model by their type, name and count, whether converted to Creo, the number of entities that skipped import, and the total number of entities in the model.
Layer Statistics—Lists the layers of the imported model by their levels, the associated entities, their count, names, and import status. This section is generated only when the model imported has layer information, such as IGES and CATIA models.
Validation Properties—Lists the validation properties of the imported model, such as mass, volume, and surface area, and their values in the source and target systems. The Difference column lists the differences in values of the validation properties before and after import. This section is generated only for formats such as STEP that support validation properties.
Geometry Processing—Lists geometry, such as the various types of curves, surfaces, splines, lines, points, faces, edges, and shells, processed during the import.
Native header—Lists generic information, such as the source and target systems, the names and versions of the source and target files, model units, and model accuracy in the source and the target systems.
Assembly Geometry Part—This section is optional and is visible only when an assembly part is created during the import. It lists the assembly part and its geometry. An assembly geometry part is basically a Creo part that keeps the assembly geometry of a source model during import.
The import logs of the submodels appear on separate pages connected through hyperlinks. You can use the Next and the Previous navigation buttons to access the import log file of each subassembly or part component of the model.
