About Importing ICEM Surf Models
ICEM is an Associative Topology Bus (ATB)-enabled data exchange format. ICEM surfaces, when imported or appended to models in the Creo application, create ATB-enabled import IN features.
The following import and append operations create ATB-enabled IN features:
• Import an ICEM model as a new part with
File >
Open.
• Append an ICEM model as a new feature of an existing part with
Model >
Get Data >
Import.
• Assemble an ICEM model as a part component of an existing assembly with
Component >
>
Assemble.
ATB allows the associative update of imported data when changes are made to the native ICEM data.
