To Position a Bend Profile Along a Curve
In the Position Profile dialog box perform the following steps:
1. Under Reference Method click . The Start curve box is activated.
2. Select a datum curve in the model. The End curve box is activated.
3. Select a datum curve on the model that belongs to the same composite curve as the start curve. A preview of the profile is displayed.
4. To change the default orientation plane, click the Orientation plane box and then select a plane on the model that is parallel to the curve or edge to which you intend to assemble the profile.
5. Use the options described below to move the profile:
—Aligns the selected geometry element for the profile, such as surface, edge, or vertex, with the reference curve
—Offsets the profile by specific values
—Resets the profile position
6. Use the options described below to rotate the profile:
—Rotates the profile by an angle as represented on the icon
—Rotates the profile by an angle as represented on the icon
—Rotates the profile by a value that you specify
—Toggles the start and end point for the profile
7. Click the icon under Size and Standard to change the size and standard for the section.
8. To change the default name of the profile, type a new name in the Filename box.
9. Repeat the above steps until the profile is previewed in the desired position.
10. Click one of the options listed below to continue:
OK to complete profile positioning and close the dialog box
Repeat to complete profile positioning without closing the dialog box and continue with positioning of another profile
Cancel to cancel profile positioning and close the dialog box
 
* After selecting valid references to position the profile, it is displayed as a temporary preview until you complete or cancel the profile positioning.
