About Element Definition Dialog Boxes
After you select a library element, an element-specific definition dialog box opens from which you to define a specific element definition and references.
Not all definition boxes are identical but there are areas that they have in common, such as those described below:
• Preview—After an element is selected, its preview appears in the preview area, including placement and other variables.
• Information—Definition information, such as length or width
• Boxes for values—Value entry boxes for lengths, widths, and other measurements
• Check boxes—Select or clear the check box to toggle options on or off.
• Select references—Available when references must be selected.
• Select optional references—Available when additional references or dimensions are required.
• Table—One or more tables may appear at the bottom of the dialog box from which you can select standard definition (instance) values.
