What is the benefit of this enhancement?
You can now create a draft tangent connection in Style for Curve on Surface (COS) curves.
While editing a curve, you can select its endpoint to show the tangent control of the point, and then right-click to show the new Draft Tangent option. For the connection, you are required to select additional references, such as a datum plane or surface, and the corresponding connection curve.
The default draft angle is based on the surface used for the COS. You can easily modify the draft angle.
This command is useful for defining a draft tangent connection for the endpoint of a curve with respect to a surface or a datum plane.
Previously, it was necessary to drag the tangent control to approximate the draft direction for the COS, or use one of the other connection types to get close to the draft angle of the COS.
This enhancement provides you with a better control when you edit curves in Style to capture the design intent. It improves geometry reconstruction in Generative Design when you use the Parting Line manufacturing constraint.
