To Fix or Unfix Manikin Segments
You can fix and unfix manikin segments from either the Manikin Tree or the graphics window.
To fix manikin segments
Perform one of the following actions:
Manikin Tree:
a. In the Manikin Tree, select a manikin segment or segments.
b. Right-click and select Fix Segment from the shortcut menu.
Graphics window:
a. Make sure that the selection filter is set to Manikin Objects.
b. In the graphics window, select a manikin segment. The 3D dragger appears.
c. Right-click the segment, and select Fix Segment from the shortcut menu.
After you fix a manikin segment, three visual indicators appear:
In the Manikin Tree, under the manikin segment group, the manikin segment icon changes from to .
In the Manikin Tree, under Manikin Constraints, the fixed segment appears with the fixed icon in front of it.
In the graphics window, when the fixed segment is selected, the fixed glyph appears, offset from the 3D dragger that appears on the manikin segment.
To unfix manikin segments
Perform one of the following actions:
Manikin Tree:
a. In the Manikin Tree, select a fixed manikin segment or segments.
b. Right-click and select Unfix Segment from the shortcut menu.
Graphics window:
a. Make sure that the selection filter is set to Manikin Objects.
b. In the graphics window, select a fixed manikin segment. The fixed glyph appears, offset from the 3D dragger.
c. Perform one of the following actions:
Shortcut menu:
Right-click the fixed segment and select Unfix Segment.
Glyph:
Point your mouse over the fixed glyph until it activates and changes to .
Right-click the glyph, and select Unfix Segment from the shortcut menu.
After you unfix a manikin segment:
In the Manikin Tree, under the manikin segment group, the manikin segment icon changes from to .
In the Manikin Tree, the segment disappears from under Manikin Constraints.
In the graphics window, the fixed glyph does not appear when you select the unfixed segment.
