To Extract Manufacturing Annotation
The extraction process creates steps in the Process Table based on the manufacturing annotation that exists in the reference model. The manufacturing annotation is added to the reference model in Part or Assembly mode.
1. In a Process view, highlight the operation where you want to insert the extracted steps.
2. Click . The Mfg Template AE extraction dialog box opens. The upper part of the dialog box lists the templates referenced by the manufacturing annotation in the model, while the lower part lists the steps that will be created as a result of extraction. The steps are listed in the same order in which they will be created in the Process Table.
3. Click the Options tabbed page.
4. Click the Apply AutoMerge check box to automatically create merge groups from the extracted steps. Merge groups are created by merging all the drilling steps that have the same manufacturing criteria name, use the same manufacturing template, tool, and have the same orientation.
5. Click the Create same behavior groups check box to automatically create same behavior groups from the extracted steps. Same behavior groups are created by grouping steps that are of the same step type, have the same manufacturing criteria name, use the same manufacturing template, tool, and have the same orientation.
6. Click , if necessary, to change the order of extraction. For example, you can sort the steps by extraction priority.
7. Click Extract. Creo NC appends the steps at the end of selected operation.

When extracting steps from a template, the relations between the parameters are resolved. If the relation for a parameter cannot be resolved, the stored value of the parameter is extracted from the template, and a warning message is displayed.
