To Place a Flexible Component
1. In an assembly click > . The Open dialog box opens.
2. Select the component to be placed and click Open. The Confirm dialog box opens.
3. Click No to assemble the component without a flexible definition and continue from step five. Click Yes to assemble the component with a flexible definition. The Component Placement tab opens with the Varied Items dialog box open.

You can change, delete, or create new varied items.

4. Assign values to the varied items for flexibility and click OK. The Component Placement tab is available.
