About Working with Assembly Components
Components in an assembly are treated the same way as features in a part. Therefore, you can use the component operations commands in Assembly Design the way you use feature operations commands in Part mode. Component operations are accessed by right-clicking the component on the Model Tree and making a selection from the shortcut menu.
Component operations include the following tasks:
• Copying
• Grouping
• Deleting
• Editing
• Suppressing, freezing, and resuming
• Editing references
• Reordering
• Redefining placement constraints
• Defining flexibility
• Patterning
• Replacing
