To Paste a Dependent Copy of a Component
1. Copy a component.
2. Click the arrow next to
Paste.
3. Click
Paste Special. The
Paste Special dialog box opens.
4. Click the Dependent copy check box and use one of the following procedures:
◦ Create a fully dependent copy
a. Click Fully dependent with options to vary.
b. Click OK. A new instance of the component is placed in the same location as the copied component.
c. Select the component in the Model Tree, right-click, and choose

to change the position of the component.
◦ Create a copy with dependent dimensions and annotation element details
a. Click Partially dependent – Dimensions and AE Details only.
b. Click OK. The Component Placement tab opens.
c. Select assembly placement references to place the copied component.
