Multi-monitor Display Improvements
New configuration options have been added for using Creo Parametric with multiple monitors of different screen resolutions.
User Interface Location: Click File > Options.
Release: Creo Parametric 8.0.0.0
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
The new configuration options allow you to better control the Creo Parametric user interface location and scaling when you are using multiple monitors of different resolutions.
With the configuration option primary_monitor, you can set the number of the display to treat as the primary monitor on which you want to start Creo Parametric, overriding the setting in use on the desktop.
For example, if you add a 4K monitor as display 2 to your primary display, the settings primary_monitor2 and dpi_scale200 make Creo Parametric start on the 4K display at 200% DPI scaling for good readability. This leaves your real primary display available for you to work on at a different DPI scaling level (such as 100, 125, or 150% DPI).
Additionally, you can also use the option high_dpi_text_enabledyes*/no that controls whether the in-graphics text labels should attempt to scale according to the DPI and the option text_height_factor70* that specifies the text height in the graphics window. The text height is the number of lines of text which can be drawn in the graphics window of the primary monitor. Use this option to calculate the default text height for the window. This default text height is used for text, such as coordinate systems and datums.
You can now assign Creo Parametric to a dedicated monitor with an optimized DPI scaling that is not impacting other applications running on the same operating system. This offers a flexibility to optimize the Creo Parametric setup according to your monitor settings and needs.
