About the Model Tree and Welding Objects

Operations on welds in the Model Tree
Welds appear as features of assemblies or parts in the Model Tree. You can use the Model Tree as a selection tool where you can quickly identify and select weld features for various operations. To make weld features visible in the Model Tree, click > Tree Filters, and in the Model Tree Items dialog box, select the Features check box.
When the top-level model is active, select a weld in the Model Tree and right-click. The shortcut menu that appears provides direct access to the following welding operations:

Weld solids
When you create a solid weld feature, a single weld solid is created. Weld solids appear in the Model Tree under the weld feature, and are represented by . You can select a weld solid, for example to perform an analysis.
To make weld solids visible in the Model Tree, click > Tree Filters, and in the Model Tree Items dialog box, select the Weld solids check box.
