About the Motion Axis Dialog Box
Use the Motion Axis dialog box to view the motion axis defining a connection and to apply or edit references, the zero position, regeneration value, and motion limits:
• Motion Axis collectors—Show the current motion axis references.
• Current Position—Show the current motion axis position when you drag your mechanism, or enter a value and press ENTER.
• Set Zero Position—Defines the current position as the motion axis zero, from which other orientations are measured.

This button only appears on legacy mechanisms before initial position references are set in the Component Placement dashboard.

• Regen Value—Sets a value for use in assembly analyses.
• Maximum Limit and Minimum Limit—Sets values to apply limits to motion axis movement.
• Dynamic properties button—Defines the coefficient of restitution, and specifies friction.
• Preview—Applies all the dialog box entries.
