To Copy, Move, Mirror, or Pattern Bodies
You can perform copy, move, mirror, or pattern operations on bodies. Shortcut commands for these operations are listed below. Get more information by clicking the link for each operation.
When you copy, move with copy, mirror, or pattern bodies in a part, a new body is created for each source body. Each new body is associative with the geometry of the source body, but is not associative with the other properties of the source body.
Copy
To copy bodies, perform any of the following actions:
In the Model Tree or graphics window, right-click the bodies and select Copy to copy them onto the clipboard. Then right-click and select Paste.
Select the bodies, and click Model > Copy to copy them onto the clipboard. Then click Model > Paste.
Select the bodies and press CTRL + C, and then press CTRL + V.
Move
To move bodies, perform any of the following actions:
In the Model Tree or graphics window, click the bodies to move, and select Move Geometry.
Select the bodies, and click Model > Copy to copy them onto the clipboard. Then click Model > Paste Special.
Select the bodies and press CTRL + C, and then press CTRL + SHIFT + V.
