To Project Chains
1. In the graphics window, select one or more curves or chains to project.
2. Click > 
Project. The Project tab opens.

Chain.
Chain.4. To select the surface onto which to project the curves or chains, under Project On click the collector, and in the graphics window, click surfaces of one or more bodies, or quilts, or datum planes.
5. To define the project direction, under Project Direction, select an option:
◦ Along Direction—Projects the chains along a specified direction.
◦ Normal to Surface—Projects the chains normal to the curve plane or a specified plane or surface.
6. To define the direction reference, under Project Direction, click the collector and select a plane, an axis, an axis of a coordinate system, or a straight entity to use as the project direction reference. If needed, to flip the project direction by clicking

.7. Click 
OK. The chains are projected onto the selected surface.
