To Create a Direction Pattern of an NC Sequence
1. Select the NC sequence to pattern.
2. Click Manufacturing > Pattern. The Pattern tab opens.
3. Select Direction from the first list box.
4. Select from the second list box.
5. For the first direction, select a coordinate system as a reference.
6. Enter the number of instances in this direction.
7. Enter the offset in the X, Y, and Z directions.
8. For the second direction, select from the list box and select a reference to establish the second direction. This reference is the coordinate system offset in a single direction.
Alternatively, select from the list box and select a reference to establish the second direction. This reference is a rotation about an axis that you select.
9. Enter the number of instances in the second direction.
10. Enter the distance between pattern members in the second direction.
11. Click Options.
Change the manufacturing leader, if required. A manufacturing pattern leader is denoted by the number 1.
Change the patterning order, if required. You can perform a combination of actions:
Reverse the patterning order for the tool path output.
Change the order to alternate rows in a two-directional pattern.
Alternate the direction so that the tool traverses the second direction first.
Alternatively, click Shortest Distance to make the manufacturing order according to the shortest distance between pattern members, or click Pick Order and define the manufacturing order by selecting pattern members in the graphics window.
Click Fixture Offsets and enter an initial register and an increment value.
12. Click .
